Using the supplied Photoshop Actions

 

This product contains 5 action that can be used in Adobe Photoshop 4 and above to speed up the processing described in this manual.


Instructions

1. In Photoshop's Actions palette choose Load Actions from the palette's menu.

2. After having selected EFGActions.atn from the helpers sub folder, the 5 action will appear in the Actions palette.

3. To apply one of the actions, click on it to highlight it and press the Play button at the bottom of the Actions palette.

4. Now just follow the instruction displayed by the action.

 

Action Descriptions


The following actions can be applied to the supplied edge & frame files.

  • Create Selection from Edge

    When applied to a b/w edge image, a selection will be created of the inner white part.

  • Create Selection from Edge II

    Works like Create Selection from Edge, but selects greyscaled or colored parts of the edge, too.

  • Create Smooth Selection

    Works like Create Selection from Edge II, but produces a soft selection border.

  • Make Edge Transparent

    Makes the inner white part of a b/w edge transparent, so that a underlying image will shine through.


The following action only works, if a selection is present:

  • Drop Shadow

    Creates a Drop Shadow layer that has the shape of the current selection.
